Pictures I took walking back home from college

I started taking pictures of skylines when walking back home from college. Although it was dark, I really liked how you could see the light reflecting, in the picture, as it gives this realistic feeling of moonlit darkness. The first picture was one of my favourite ones because you were able to see the skyline and the main components of a skyline for example; the tree and ground as land; buildings; and the sky. The harsh lighting on the dark sky lets out a negative, unnerving mood into the picture- because of the obscurity of light in the midst of darkness- whilst several other light sources (from buildings, etcetera) change the mood of the picture. This is because the place looks livelier instead of abandoned. Furthermore, this creates a setting of peacefulness. Again, I took another picture on my way home which I also thought was interesting because of the purple sky and the warm colours coming from the right. Unlike the previous picture, this picture seemed to be fading way on the left side, this made the picture look frightening as the main light source was coming from the right so it looked as if someone was coming disturbing the peace and calmness in the area. In addition to this, the dullness of the sky and buildings makes the   location of the scenery look mysterious which I really loved as it makes you wonder where this picture was taken and the story behind the image.
